HERE ARE ALL OF THE GOING-ONS AT NEW AGE STABLES


November 26, 2009: Happy Thanksgiving to all of you out there who celebrate it, and just a happy day in general to those who don't. Alright, a breeding as well. Our own Epileptic Shock will be bred to the stunning ~ClopinMiseried's Ventriloquist. This breeding is sure to create quite the strange little foal (or two). Also, I promise that I'm working on almost everything on my to do list, as well as a few other things...that are now just sitting in my head. Oh, I found out yesterday that New Age Stables will be bringing home #8, aka Under Stitches, from *joelieisqueen's #15 Adoptable pack. We are excited to have this colorful Harlequine arriving in the barn. As well, the adoptables here at NAS are soon to be dispersed, any unclaimed will stay with us. So, for those of you got applications in, please get your image in as soon as you can. The lucky winners will be announce on the sixth of December. Anyone else sad that there isn't snow or that the snow is melting? I sure am. Alright, look for an art trade between myself and ~xxHano soon as well. Am I forgetting anything? Let me know. OH! I know, I have to get in the applications for ~Hazel-rah, look for those soon, hopefully.

November 22, 2009: First, there are several adoptables who were never spoken for, so look for another three additions to the barn soon!
THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on DA.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

November 21, 2009: I totally squealed this morning... and now:
New Age Stables is proud to announce the arrival of a short note this morning. As of approximately 4 PM yesterday, New Age Stables is a recognized HARPG stable. We have been added to the list of stables and horses should be being registered as I type. I'd like to send thanks and to everyone who watches me today, as well as everyone else. Heck, I may even find some grouch today and send them glomps. YAY! THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS TODAY! GET THEM IN BY THE TWENTY SECOND FOLKS! MOST AREN'T SPOKEN FOR, SO PLEASE EVEN IF YOU DON'T KNOW IF YOU TRULY LIKE A HORSE OR NOT, TAKE A CHANCE! LAST CALL!

November 17, 2009: So, I've had to stop all work on my nonexistent HIP foals, because there is no way that I'm going to finish any of them with a product that I actually like. Yesterday I had a sort of just...I don't know, epiphany type thing where I just realized that giving myself all of this deadlined stuff to do is making my art look really bad. Please don't disagree with me either, because truthfully, it has. So, please go take a look at the To Do list, because I want you all to see how few deadline pieces I now have up there. Now most of them are just first come, first served adoptables and breeding pics. (And foals....) There are now only four or five deadlines, and most of them won't be breathing down my neck until nearly the New Year. So...I guess I could say that I'm just kind of having a bad day art-wise, but I'm happy that I've decided to not be such a crazy overachiever. I am NOT one of those people who can pull out a half hour piece and be happy with it. On my really nice stuff, I take up to FOUR HOURS just on one section. (Smurf is a grand example of this. His shading and line art took FOREVER.) I guess that's just the time I'll have to take for quality. So, send me hugs before I go crazy, and look for some much nicer drawings from me in the future. Oh, AND DON'T FORGET THE APPLICATION DEADLINES ON THE ADOTPABLES!

November 16, 2009: This is for ANYONE who may be interested in ANY of the adoptables. I will not accept ANY applications (not the drawing, just a basic bio) after November 21, 2009. You will then have until December 5, 2009, to have the drawing done. If you are trying for more than one you may draw them together, but each horse must be CLEARLY visible. You must also have an individual bio for each horse. I have several wonderful applications in right now, but only one completed drawing. (I think. If I should have your drawing, but have not posted it, or have forgotten to post you as an interested party, please let me know RIGHT AWAY!) For those of you who have taken an interest in the horses but not supplied any information about the horse(s), if you could do so in a simple note or comment (notes preferred) that would be fantastic.
So, even if you aren't entirely sure that you want a horse, apply anyway, you might be surprised with what you come up with. ^^ Oh, and with the flaxen chestnut (adoptable 2) you are able to apply minimal sabino-type markings, and any white NATURAL markings as well. Just, please don't turn a solid horse into a completely white with minimal chestnut markings. Thanks, any questions please ask below.

November 15, 2009: New Age Stables is thrilled to announce the conformation of two breedings. NAS will be leasing *thunderjam1992's Winslet Rose [link] and breeding her to our very own Time Keeper.
We will also be leasing *ItalySky's All Marcia [link] and breeding her to our very own Acquiescence. We are expecting very colorful foals, both naturally and not so natural. As well these two stallions are scheduled to compete in *kalmakoira's show jumping competition; AC is entered into the beginner's class and Tye in the intermediate. Anyone else want a foal by either of these stallions? Note me with information; see the breeding journal for more information.
