Fingaell - Co-owned

Description

edit: NAS has received the co-ownership of Finn/Golly! :la: Many thanks to *WoozleT!

Name:
Fingaell ("pale stranger")

Barn Name:
"Finn" although us at NAS might have to call him Golly, to prevent confusion from our arab stud, Fin. :giggle:

Age:
2 yo

Gender:
stallion. I might suggest gelding him but keeping a very limited number of frozen semen, but I think keeping him a stallion could be useful - he should have an incredible show career in any discipline, which would make the few available offspring more valuable.

Breed:
Clydesdale

Discipline:
Halter until broken under saddle, which most likely shouldn't be until he is at least 3 1/2, due to his size. However, once broken under saddle, I believe the staff at NAS could make a dressage super star out of him, as well as have him to well in smaller eventing classes, if not just low baby-green hunterjumpers. We have experience with bringing heavier horses (see our own andalusian built Acquiescence) to the upper levels of competition.

Registered With:
pending HARPG

Height:
16.2 hands, might still be growing.

Build:
Based on his feet, he looks like he might have some room to grow. So far, nice and boxy, but not 'bulky.'

Color:
Sabino flaxen chestnut with dapples. Has a darker almost seal-blue nose (which I seem to have had a fail at...).

Markings:
See above.

Genotype:
ee/Aa/ff/nSb (not Sabino 1, which isn't found in drafts…)

Passable Traits:
Offspring will vary depending on the mare.

Sire/Dam: -
Bloodlines:
Foundation

Other:
He's a playful guy, but knows his manners and is generally well behaved.

For stud/lease, and Offspring:
Depending on co-owner's thoughts, we might geld him… if not, he won't be of age for bit anyways.
From NAS: even if he is not gelded, his career will hopefully be successful enough to allow for a highly selective number of offspring per year.

***He can only age once he has 1 training image and 2 shows for each 'year' of his life…***

Other Images: (and see above)

-What do you plan to do with him?
I would plan on making him as successful in a career as possible, whether that be strictly on the flat in dressage or over fences if he shows the aptitude for it. Eventually, at around 7 years of age, I would say it might be alright to let loose a public foal or two, but I would never want to overbreed this gorgeous boy! Until he's three and a half - so another three training and/or show images - I would not have him started under saddle to help strengthen his joints, and instead work in halter and on the ground to make him as polite as possible, especially if he were to stay a stallion. Even if he were to be gelded, the process of making him a polite equine civilian ( ;P ) would be necessary for his size. c: I hope for the opportunity to work with this gorgeous boy!
